Project Overview

Bartlesville, OK

Bartlesville is located in Northeast Oklahoma, about 50 miles north of Tulsa. In 2009, the City of Bartlesville hired consulting engineering firm Tetra Tech, Pasadena, CA, for a water storage tank project. After researching available alternatives, the project team specified an AWWA D110 Type III wire-wound prestressed concrete tank because of its reliability, durability, and negligible maintenance requirements. Preload, a recognized innovator in the concrete storage tank industry, was selected as the preferred tank builder.

This Preload tank holds 4.0 MG of water, and has a 130’ inside diameter and a 40’ side water depth. Its exterior is enhanced with an arched pilaster architectural treatment. In addition to providing communities with trouble-free water storage, Preload offers a wide range of exterior tank colors and geometric alternatives to suit a community’s aesthetic needs.
