Project Overview

Eden Prairie is a city 12 miles southwest of downtown Minneapolis in Hennepin County and the 12th-largest city in Minnesota, United States. In 2019, the City of Eden Prairie retained AE2S Engineering to design a new 4.0 million gallons (MG) finished water storage tank. After researching available tank options, the project team selected an AWWA D110 Type III prestressed concrete tank with a domed roof and membrane flooring.

In 2019, Preload was selected as the general contractor for the project. Preload overcame several challenges regarding poor weather and a muddy worksite. Despite the challenges, our crews created a beautiful tank that complements the surrounding property nicely.

This 4.0 MG Water Storage Tank will provide reliable service to the City of Eden Prairie and the surrounding areas for many decades to come.
