Ryan Harvey, P.E.

Chief Executive Officer

Ryan Harvey serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Preload and Caldwell tanks, two Louisville-based design-build firms specializing in field-constructed storage tanks and infrastructure for water, wastewater, and industrial markets, including chemical, petrochemical, cryogenic gas, and pressure vessel applications. Since assuming leadership of Preload in 2015 and Caldwell Tanks in 2022, Ryan has led both organizations through continued growth, operational excellence, and the successful delivery of some of the industry's most complex projects. His commitment to safety, quality, innovation, employee engagement, and customer service helped earn national recognition when Caldwell was named to Forbes' 2023 list of America's Best Small Employers.

With more than 30 years of experience in the storage tank industry, Ryan has developed extensive expertise through hands-on involvement in field construction, engineering design, estimating, sales, and executive management. His broad industry knowledge and practical leadership approach have helped strengthen Caldwell and Preload's position as trusted partners for municipal and industrial clients throughout North America.

Ryan is an active member of the American Concrete Institute (ACI), the American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE), and the American Water Works Association (AWWA), and is also involved with the Steel Tank Institute/Steel Plate Fabricators Association (STI/SPFA). Throughout his career, he has served on numerous technical committees associated with the design and construction of liquidcontaining structures, including ACI 372 Design and Construction of Wire-Wrapped Prestressed Concrete Storage Tanks, ACI 350 Code Requirements for Environmental Engineering Concrete Structures, and AWWA D110 Design and Construction of Wire- and Strand-Wound Prestressed Concrete Tanks.

A native of East Tennessee, Ryan earned both his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering (BSCE) and Master of Science in Structural Engineering (MSCE) from The University of Tennessee. He is a licensed Professional Engineer in multiple states, including Kentucky.

Ryan is passionate about building a culture where people can thrive professionally and personally. Outside of work, Ryan enjoys playing the mandolin, fly fishing, and working on his farm in La Grange, Kentucky.
