Exchange Parkway Ground Storage Tanks

In 2017, Preload’s project team successfully completed (2) 13.5MG AWWA D110, Type III prestressed concrete tanks in Allen, TX. We operated as a subcontractor for general contractor Crescent Constructors under a contract for the North Texas Municipal Water District. Preload Engineer Dan McCarthy collaborated closely with engineers with Freese and Nichols to detail aesthetically pleasing arched pilasters and logos on the domes. This project required careful planning and execution due to the proximity of a daycare and playground as well as local commercial business properties located adjacent to the site. Preload’s Area Manager, Bob Barbarisi, coordinated with the general contractor to schedule our shotcrete operation during low wind events to prevent overspray around these entities. Preload’s Project Engineer, Tim Halloran’s communication with Superintendent Ross Bell was critical given the extremely tight work area boundaries and tight schedule.
