Project Overview

Tabor, SD

Tabor is a town in Bon Homme County, South Dakota, United States. The small town of Tabor, with under 500 people who call it home, was incorporated in 1888. In 2018, B-Y Water District retained Johnson Engineering Co. to add a new 3.48 million gallons (MG) finished water storage tank to their water plant. After researching available tank options, the project team selected an AWWA D110 Type III prestressed concrete tank with a domed roof and membrane flooring.

In 2018, Preload was selected as the general contractor for the project. Preload overcame several challenges, including cold temperatures and rainy weather. Despite the challenges, our crews created a fantastic tank, which complements the surrounding water district nicely.

This 3.48 MG Water Storage Tank will provide reliable service to B-Y Water District and its customers for many decades to come.
